To highlight tourism potential of Pakistan, embassy in Canada will hold ‘Tourism Conference’ this year

BE2C2 Report; Islamabad; Jan 9, 2017 — Embassy of Pakistan in Canada will organize ‘Pakistan Tourism Conference’ in Canada this year to highlight tourism potential of the country.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Canada Tariq Azim during a meeting with Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor on Sunday in Islamabad said the conference will be attended by prominent Canadian outbound tour operators and stakeholders.

“Sindh has the potential to export Pakistan’s soft image”

The PTDC managing director said the government is committed for the promotion and development of tourism industry in the country, NNI reports.

He expressed hope that by promoting its true potential in a positive direction, Pakistan will gain its top position on tourist map of the world.

Over 1 million Pakistanis and North Americans of Pakistani descent live in Canada and the United States. In 2016, they remitted over $2.5 billion to Pakistan as investments, family support, etc.
