Pakistan-Born US Cricketer Wants to Represent Green Shirts
May 19, 2018 (DESPARDES/PKONWEB) — Quetta-born all-rounder Faisal Taj has became a sensation in the United States after performing exceptionally well at the franchise cricket league. Although he has become an integral part of USA team, the youngster is keen to represent Pakistan in the future.
“I am keen to represent my country. I have contacted different PSL franchises to play for them and hopefully, I will get the chance to showcase my skills in next edition of PSL, where I might catch the eyes of the Pakistan Cricket Board,” he said, quoted local media.
The all-rounder further said that despite receiving an offer for US citizenship, owing to his cricket performance, he ‘still wants to play for Pakistan’. Taj is optimistic that he won’t ‘disappoint’.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will be facing England for the two Test series, with the first Test match scheduled at the historic Lord’s on May 24.
