MAMOSA Report — Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said Pakistan comes first then any individual or the institution adding that the army would continue to contribute towards national security.
Gen Bajwa who was on a visit to Baloch Regimental Center in Abottabad, reiterated his vision for better Pakistan where nothing takes precedence over the country, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The army chief said, “County comes first then any individual or the institution,” during his interaction with officers and recruits undergoing training at the center, according to ISPR.
The COAS laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to pay homage to martyrs of Baloch Regiment who laid their lives for the defense of the motherland.
“COAS expressed pleasure and honor to be at home of Balochis. He said that he has very special attachment with Baloch Regiment being second generation officer as his father was also an officer from Baloch Regiment”
Earlier this month, the army chief chaired the Corps Commanders meeting at GHQ and reviewed geopolitics and IS situation including Pak-Afghan border/ LOC. Operation RuF, NAP, Military Courts, Population Census and Dawn Leaks were discussed.
