Pakistan is participating in the Bahrain International Defense exhibition and the Middle East Military Alliances and Coalitions Conference being held in capital Manama.
The event is being organized in coordination with the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen and the Riyadh-based Islamic Coalition against Terrorism, report Anadolu news agency.
Crown Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa accompanied by his brother and Commander of Royal Guard Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander in Chief of Bahrain Armed Forces and senior government ministers personally visited the Pakistan Pavilion report APP.
The Bahrain International Defense Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC) is taking place in Bahrain between 16th-18th October 2017. International exhibitors from the defense industry include United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Italy, Russia, Canada, United States Turkey and others.
Pakistani Exhibitors include DEPO, Cavalier group National Radio Telecommunications Company and others. A delegation led by Lt. General Umar Farooq Durrani, Chairman POF Board is also participating in the exhibition.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Javed Malik said that Pakistan is an important country of the Muslim world, and “our perspective on the emerging regional developments is very relevant particularly in dealing with the challenges facing the region.”
“Pakistan believes in working closely with all its friends and allies for regional peace and stability and our Pakistan’s presence in this important Conference is a clear example of how important and relevant Pakistan is to the countries of the region,” the envoy said.
Senior defense experts, military officials, ministers of defense and government officials is participating in the international conference in which Pakistan’s Chairman Joint Chief of Staff, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat is also delivering a keynote speech.
The Middle East Military Alliances and Coalitions Conference (MEMAC2017) is being held on the sidelines of the Bahrain International Defense Exhibition and Conference (BIDEC2017).

The purchase agreement was announced on the second day of the Defense Exhibition and Conference currently underway in Manama.
At a Tuesday press conference held on the exhibition’s sidelines, Major-General Hamad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, commander of Bahrain’s Royal Air Force, said the new F-16s would greatly contribute to the development of Bahrain’s air force fleet.
