Shahid Afridi ‘Boom Boom’ quits PSL T20 franchise Peshawar Zalmi

MAMOSA Report — Shahid Afridi has left PSL T20 franchise Peshawar Zalmi, less than a month after clinching the title in Lahore.

Former Pakistan captain Afridi announced his decision on Friday via twitter. Afridi cited personal reasons for his decision.

“Won the trophy with one team, time for another. I am announcing my end of service as president and player of Peshawar Zalmi team due to personal reasons,” he tweeted.

The all-rounder hinted switching to another franchise but stopped short of giving out any details.

In the 2017 edition, he scored 177 runs in 10 matches for Peshawar. With the ball though, he picked up only two wickets.

Afridi tweeted that he’ll be in Toronto on May 12th for a fundraising dinner “Hope Not Out” for the visually impaired talented individuals organized by SA Foundation in association with Islamic Relief Canada.
