Stone Pelting Lyari Protesters Disrupt Bilawal’s Election Convoy

JUL 1, 2018: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s convoy was rerouted after a mob stopped it and resorted to stone pelting in Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood on Sunday as he launched his party’s election campaign. Several PPP workers and passersby were injured. Protesters, mostly youngsters, stopped the rally in Bihar Colony and attacked the convoy with sticks and stones, smashing the windows of several vehicles. Bilawal’s convoy was stuck for half-an-hour as the police and PPP workers failed to calm the protesters. The mob was shouting ‘Go Bilawal Go’.Read More
