BE2C2 Report — The world’s biggest book sale is underway in Colombo– the capital city of Sri Lanka, with more than 1.5 million books in English on sale on heavy discounts.
The key features of the event is that the sale is open throughout 24 hours a day, providing book enthusiasts the opportunity to shop non-stop.
Founded by Managing Director Andrew Yap and Executive Director Jacqueline Ng in Malaysia, the Big Bad Wolf sale is aimed at encouraging the reading of English books at reasonable prices.
This year’s sale, inaugurated by Lankan Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, will be open 24 hours a day until October 15, providing book enthusiasts the opportunity to shop non-stop for 10 consecutive days.
The mega book sale event is offering discounts between 60% and 80% on brand-new, high-quality English language books.
The Big Bad Wolf held its first sale in 2009 in Malaysia’s Selangor state. It has also been held in Thailand and Indonesia.
