PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on Friday said there is great resentment and anger amongst the masses over statements made by the PPP leadership on Supreme Court’s verdict against the NRO, adding that depression spread from such statements.
Sharif said he hopes Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will implement the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the NRO.
Nawaz Sharif was speaking to Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmed Bilour who met him at former’s Raiwind residence. Bilour is also a senior vice President in the Awami National Party (ANP), a close ally and coalition partner of PPP both in the center and in the NWFP.
The former Prime Minister and leader of main opposition party PML-N said the negative attitude of the government is also one of the reason for the present situation in the country
The current crisis faced by Pakistan cannot be solved by escaping the problems, he added.
Nawaz said the Supreme Court’s decision will lead to the stability of democracy and rule of law in the country, adding the country will gain more respect because of this decision.
Nawaz cut short his UK trip to return to his power base in Punjab to address party matters arising out of Supreme Court verdict against the NRO and subsequent politicking in the country.
