The Balochistan Assembly on Friday unanimously adopted a resolution, seeking permission from the federal government for the import of duty-free bulletproof vehicles for provincial ministers and MPAs.
The resolution was moved by the Balochistan Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Zafarullah Zehri, who pointed at the poor law and order situation in the province and the country.
He demanded that permission be granted for import of vehicles and exemption of duty and taxes levied on them in view of suicide and remote-controlled bomb attacks.
The House also adopted the resolutions tabled by Mir Zahoor Hussain Khosa on waiving off agricultural loans of growers of the province, besides provision of natural gas to the adjoinig areas of Jaffarabad and Naseerabad.
Similarly, the resolution, tabled by Ministers Ainullah Shams, Muhammad Nawaz and Zahoor Ahmed Buledi on implementation of project of the two-way Kuchlak-Yaro Road was also adopted.
It demanded of the government to ensure the completion of the project by December 2009.Moreover, another resolution, tabled by Senior Minister Planning and Development Maulana Abdul Wasey and Ainullah Shams, was also adopted.
It demanded gas supply to the Aghbarg area of the provincial metropolis. The House also approved the Balochistan Sports Board draft bill. Later, the assembly session was adjourned sine die.
