SYDNEY: Australia are considered as the world’s best team in batting but their players are afraid of batting and bowling talents of Pakistan before the home Test series against them.
Pakistan have played only 13 Test matches during the last three years and their last Test in Melbourne was played five years ago but Australian batsman Michael Hussey thinks that there are a number of match winners in the Pakistan lineup.
Hussey says he expects a tough challenge from Pakistan in the Test cricket series beginning on Boxing Day.
He said that the video footage of the Pakistan players has very much impressed the Aussie cricketers.
Hussey said the Australian batsmen are looking to improve on their performance from the series against the West Indies.
Opening batsman Simon Katich said that the Pakistan batting cannot be considered poor in presence of Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Akmal.
Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin said that the unpredictability of the Pakistan team may make the Boxing Day Test match interesting.
Traditionally, the Boxing Day game is in Melbourne, in the Australian south-east. (News sourced from: www.thenews.com.pk)
