I share Imran Khan’s optimism that Pakistan is on the road to a good future. The big difference today is a free press and a bold judiciary. As far as I know the Supreme Court has never really exercised its powers. The Supreme Court is doing in Pakistan what the United States Supreme Court has done is America. Some of the most revolutionary changes in America have come from the Supreme Court. As a matter of fact President Obama could not have become President had it not been for some bold decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court which ultimately led to the civil rights movement in America.
I agree with Imran Khan that things are moving towards an equilibrium. If the press and the judiciary keep doing what they are doing, Pakistan can become a model state for others to follow. Thank you for your informative programs.
